How does the believer put sin to death?Dealing with sin
Protestant
John Owen’s short classic on putting sin to death—often called The Mortification of Sin. Restored so his method stays visible on the page — an edition meant for deep reading, not a quick PDF skim.
Kindle edition — on Amazon
Kindle edition sold by Amazon. This edition is for readers who want the work itself, not a summary.
Text from William H. Goold’s Works of John Owen, Volume VI (1862) — the treatise alone, following the corrected 1658 edition.
Prepared for deep reading: we restore Owen’s argument as nested structure, so the steps of the method stay visible on the page. Spelling and punctuation are lightly modernized; his theological vocabulary and archaic second person remain.
Elsewhere, free PDFs give you the words. This edition is designed so you can stay with the argument — and you keep the book.
